Rivas also highlighted that South Korea is one of the three countries with the highest number of investment projects in the state during this administration, only behind the United States and China.
“With this investment, and thanks to the support provided by the governments of Santa Catarina and Nuevo León, we hope to offer the best product with established suppliers and guaranteed quality. Thus, we will implement the growth of Dayou Autoparts in Mexico, contributing our effort and passion together to the workers here,” said Lee Seok Geun, CEO of Dayou Autoparts Global.
Dayou Autoparts, in addition to its operations in Mexico, has a presence in China, Slovakia and Vietnam.
The inauguration of this new plant occurs in the midst of an investment boom in the entity. So far this year, Tesla and Kia have confirmed the production of electric models in Nuevo León, while at least a dozen suppliers have announced investments to expand their production capacity or to build new plants.
“We are sure that they will find very favorable conditions for their operations, so many that hopefully they will continue to grow,” Rivas said.
