Support from banks Banorte, Citibanamex and Scotiabank
The National Banking and Securities Commission of Mexico (CNBV) authorized special criteria so that users affected by Hurricane Otis can access payment facilities for mortgage, revolving and non-revolving loans from individuals.
Banorte
Banorte postponed loan payments for the next six months, automatically. And, for those who do not want that benefit, they will have to contact the bank at 8181 569600.
Applies to credit cards, mortgage loans, auto loans, payroll loans, personal loans and SME loans.
Citibanamex
Citibanamex also temporarily suspended collections, as well as the collection of commissions at ATMs. In addition, it offered support for credit management – deferring payment for up to 6 months – and offered quick payment of insurance to its clients.
Scotiabank
Defers loan payments for 6 months, in these cases: Mortgage loan, automotive loan, and payroll and personal loans.
Fovissste
Fovissste will ask the agencies to suspend discounts for the payment of mortgage loans and will allow an extension without charging interest and updates for a period of four months, it reported in a statement.
SAT
Through a decree, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced tax benefits of up to 100% to the taxpayers of Acapulco and other municipalities damaged by Hurricane Otis.
The benefits seek to ensure that taxpayers have liquidity to meet their economic commitments, and are for those who have their tax domicile, agency, branch or any other establishment, in the affected municipalities of the state of Guerrero and indicated in the Declaration of Natural Disaster for the State of Guerrero, the municipality of initial attention being Acapulco de Juárez.

Finally, it is worth remembering that the Ministry of Economy, together with businessmen, is preparing a plan to rebuild Acapulco . Which will include reconstruction and rehabilitation of hospitals, homes, schools, drainage, paving, public lighting, hotels and restaurants, among other infrastructure needs.
