On Tuesday, at a press conference in Mexico City, Biden assured that he was unaware of the content of the discovered documents.
“I don’t know what the documents contain,” Biden told reporters after the North American Summit along with his Mexican counterpart, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
“People know that I take classified documents, classified information seriously,” Biden added.

NBC News and other US media outlets reported Wednesday that the president’s aides had found “at least one additional batch” of unsecured documents.
Biden’s lawyers discovered a small number of documents with classified marks in the garage of the president’s home in Wilmington, Delaware, the White House said Thursday.
A single document was found in a room adjacent to the garage and no documents were found at the Bidens’ Rehoboth Beach home, White House special counsel Richard Sauber said in a statement.
At a press conference, Biden stated that he “fully cooperates” with justice.
