Expansionin collaboration with ADIL and LOVE4ALL, invites people in senior management positions to participate in the fifth edition of ‘41+1 LGBT+ from business‘, which will be published in the magazine Expansion june 2023.
The special seeks to recognize the people who, from their position and outside of it, contribute and inspire the LGBT+ population to live in freedom, with visibility and successfully.
Bases
- People whose sexual orientation differs from heterosexual and/or those whose gender identity is trans or non-cisgender participate.
- Candidates must hold positions in middle and senior management positions in for-profit firms with operations in Mexico.
- These people can be Mexican or foreigners who have their work base within Mexico.
- Businesswomen or businessmen who run their own company, have at least five years of operations in the country and have a turnover of at least 11 million pesos per year also participate.
- People should be a benchmark for their leadership on LGBTQ+ inclusion issues.
- People may appear on the final list in up to three editions, although they may only do so for two consecutive years.
- The participation it has no cost.
- The deadline to receive the information is the January 27th.

- The questionnaire must be completed online to secure the application.

- It is essential Attach the following extra materials to the forms or send them to [email protected]:
- Organizational chart of the company, clearly marking its position.
- Curriculum Vitae and profile.
- Clear evidence of your contributions, inside and outside your company, exclusively towards LGBT+ people (pdf’s, links, images, etc.).
- You must attach or send the opinion of a leader from your company, or from another company, of a similar or higher rank on the contributions of the candidate in terms of diversity and inclusion within the company.
Process
The questionnaire must be answered in its entirety, if this is not the case, the candidacy will not be considered in the next step.
The extra material requested (photo, organizational chart, CV and profile) must be attached to the form or sent to the email [email protected] with the subject: 41+1 (name of the person, company).
This email should be copied to the person or persons representing your company in areas such as communication / public relations, to confirm that the company agrees to your application and possible appearance on the list.
In the event that the questionnaire and submission of evidence is answered by an external agency, the same representatives must also be in copy and, ideally, the person nominated.
The questionnaire will be checked for completeness.
It will be verified that the information is true.
It will be reviewed that the documentation (photo, organizational chart, CV, profile and evidence) is complete.
The candidates who comply with steps 1 and 2 will be evaluated by an editorial board that will be formed together with representatives of ExpansionADIL, LOVE4ALL and people from the LGBT+ community who do not have a conflict of interest in the process.
The position of the candidates in the company, the importance of the company in the market, their work career and contributions to the LGBT+ community will be evaluated.
At the end of March, Expansion communicate through the contact given in the questionnaire about the result. Confirmation from the company will be requested for its appearance in the final list.
The best evaluated files will be part of the ’41+1 LGBT+ business’ 2023 edition, which will be published in the June issue of Expansión magazine.
