Ember Lab, authors of the acclaimed Kena: Bridge of Spirits, revealed that the game has already recovered its initial development costs, as well as mentioning that Sony he was very “satisfied” with the results. Mike and Josh Grier, founders of the study, also commented that there were several other “great” publishers interested in the project.
Before Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Ember Lab it was an animation studio, so this was their first video game. The fact that Sony became interested in the project motivated the brothers Grier to do your best, and in the end, it was worth it. In fact, Kena was going to be revealed next to Playstation 5 in early 2020, but due to the pandemic, plans changed.
Brothers Grier They did not give specific figures of how many copies the game had sold, however, they affirmed that they have already recovered the initial production expenses, which will allow them to continue creating more titles. In the own words of Josh Grier:

It will certainly be interesting to know what comes next for Ember Lab, but now what Sony discovered its potential, perhaps a future acquisition is on the way.
