“The San Luis Potosí plant is one of the most flexible production centers in the world,” said the manager. “It is our production vision for the future of BMW.”

The first units of the Neue Klasse platform will begin production at the Debrecen plant, in Hungary, at the beginning of 2025, which will be followed by the main plant of the German assembly company in Munich.

The new electric battery production center will have an area of 85,000 square meters, added Harald Gootsche, president and CEO of the BMW Group Plant San Luis Potosí complex.

“We will double our solar park area to generate 30% of the total energy required by the plant. We have invested 3.3 million euros to expand the water treatment plant to have 90% use of treated water from the plant”, he said.
