The Fortnite Season 8 has introduced parallel weapons, a really powerful type of weaponry that is already wreaking havoc, and that have positioned themselves among the best weapons in the game’s rankings. This has changed the meta game quite a bit, and it will continue to advance slowly but surely throughout the season.
At ranking of this article we have ordered all the weapons from best to worst. Knowing which are the most optimal is key to focus your games well, to know what to discard and what to keep and what are the best options at all distances.
Ranking of the best weapons of Fortnite Season 8: tier list
Tier S
In this section, you will find the best of the best, weapons that are going to come in handy, yes or yes, and that you should add to your arsenal every time you find them:
- SCAR: it is impossible to see this assault rifle come down from this tier. One of the most powerful weapons and a safe bet in 100% of your games.
- Parallel rifle: This new rifle has come to stay, and its DPS is a real outrage. As soon as you get used to his cadence, you’re going to blow him away.
- Parallel minigun: just like the parallel rifle, this weapon is a real beast as long as you hold the fire button. As with the rifle, get used to the way you use it.
- Rail cannon: the best sniper rifle in the game at the moment. A wonderful addition to controlling long distances.
- Rocket launcher: If what you need is to damage structures, then the rocket launcher is your weapon. Along with the parallel Minigun, the best way to besiege rival structures.
Tier A
Here are weapons that, while not the best, are still really good if you use them at the right time:
- Assault rifle: one of the most basic weapons in the game that you will find in practically all your games and that will get you out of almost any predicament at medium distance.
- Burst assault rifle: considerably more complicated to use compared to its version above, but also more deadly if you manage to learn its particular rate of fire.
- P90: Despite being the queen of submachine guns in previous seasons, the P90 has now been overshadowed by the parallel Minigun. No However, it is still a real beast.
- Sliding shotgun: the best shotgun of this season which, unfortunately, is worse at close range than parallel weapons.
- Automatic sniper rifle: The railgun is the best in the game, but this sniper rifle has a very interesting cadence and is capable of volatilizing enemies.
Tier B
The thing here begins to falter a little, but they are still viable weapons if you haven’t found anything better:
- Rapid-fire submachine gun: Although it is still a good option at close range, it falters with respect to the rest of the weapons.
- Silenced assault rifle: Although its usefulness as an assault rifle is undeniable, there are considerably more optimal options at the top of the table.
- Lever Action Shotgun: something similar happens with this shotgun and the one with the load, and that is that both are good weapons that have the bad luck to face better options than them.
- Charging shotgun.
Tier C
If you have one of these weapons, look for other options, because it will be better for you:
- Gun: always, and I mean ALWAYS you are going to have better options than a gun. It is only useful if you have just landed, otherwise change it.
- Recognition scanner: as a weapon it’s tier C (doesn’t do much damage), but as a utility tool it’s actually pretty good.
- Harpoon Gun: another useful weapon that does not do special damage and is not interesting to kill.
