The SAT has detailed that this collection has been achieved through 247 reviews concluded during the period, while another 207 are in process, all of them carried out by the General Administration of Large Taxpayers.
“The automotive industry has always paid and has paid its taxes well, it is a highly regulated industry and therefore highly supervised due to its global nature and its importance in the national economy”, added Barquera.
Industry exports during the first five months of the year represented 30.6% of total national exports, a significant increase compared to the 27.8% registered the previous year, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI). This has contributed to the sector’s trade balance reaching a surplus of 41.732 million dollars in automotive products, while the rest of national trade registers a deficit of 6.382 million dollars in the same period, according to figures analyzed by AMIA.
The SAT affirmed in a statement published in mid-July that the control actions “are giving results” and that “the continuous effort shows a firm step in the collection and a level floor in the contribution of all the economic sectors of the country.”
