The aniplex 2022 had great and interesting news from the world of animation japanesewith the confirmation of some important shows like the remake of Rurouni Kenshin and even the adaptation of Onimusha for Netflix. But without a doubt, what caught the most attention was the new trailer for the series of NieR: Automata, program that will be the most anticipated of the 2023.
Through a video, the director of the original video game was interviewed yoko taro, and also the director in charge of the anime, Ryōji Mausyama, with a session that will be quite interesting for all fans. Since it was concluded that this version of the franchise is not going to be linked to the game, so the events seen in 2017 they will not be the same.
This is what they mentioned about it:
Nier: Automata was a story that we created to be a game, so copying it as is would not be an interesting story for an anime.
I often see fans worrying that the creators are going through their creative process without considering the original game. But in this case, those concerns are unfounded.
It is worth mentioning that NieR: Automata Ver 1.1a will not have a simultaneous premiere, since it will first be broadcast exclusively in Japan in January of 2023. And it is not yet confirmed for when it will arrive America and what streaming service it will be released on.
editor’s note: It seems to me an excellent idea that this version is separated from the game, because in spite of everything, a large part of the public that sees it may not have given the title a chance. That also happened Cuphead and its Netflix adaptation, in the end it managed to harvest new fans for daring not to follow the plot of its counterpart in the games.
