Even so, the Dallas, Texas-based operator added 424,000 postpaid phone subscribers in the last quarter, above Factset’s estimate of 422,800 signups.
Analysts and investors are closely watching postpaid phone numbers as their customers pay a recurring monthly bill, making them valuable to carriers.
Total first-quarter revenue rose 1.4% to $30.1 billion, the analyst median expecting $30.27 billion, according to Refinitiv IBES data.
