If you’re a subscriber to Apple’s music service and use Waze for your routes, you’re in luck. The Google-owned mapping platform has announced the Apple Music compatibility in your appallowing users to play songs, albums or playlists in a much more intuitive and secure way, since from now on it will not be necessary to jump between applications to check what is being played or to select a track.
Apple Music it was the only streaming music platform that was yet to be integrated into Waze – at least, the only one among the most popular. The app, in fact, already allows the direct reproduction of services such as Spotify, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer or even content playback apps that go beyond just playing music, such as Audible or different radio apps.
The integration of Apple Music in Waze allows you to control some basic playback parameters from the maps application itself, without the need to switch between apps. It is possible, for example, to pause or resume a song, skip to the next track, or choose a shuffle or repeat mode. Apple Music in Waze also shows the songs saved in the library or those recently played. Apple Music in Waze, of course, also shows the name of the track, as well as the artist.
So you can use Apple Music directly from Waze
Waze has confirmed that integration with Apple Music will be available starting today. To activate it, you just need to access the Waze app and click on the ‘My Waze’ section. Then click the settings button and in the ‘Driving Preferences’ section, select ‘Music Playback’.
Then, Apple Music should appear as linked or, in any case, in the list of available apps. To activate the service, you need to sign in with the same Apple Music account and accept the different access permissions. Once Apple Music is already linked, you can control playback by pressing the button that appears at the top of the screen.
Waze, yes, is not the only app that allows integration with Apple Music. The Cupertino company’s music service is also available on Google Maps, and can be linked through the app’s settings.
