Each mobile operating system has different customization options, with Android being the one that wins by a landslide. As an Android and iPhone user, one of the design aspects that most attract my attention in Android is the design of the lock screen when I’m listening to music.
In Android 10, when I play music stored on my device or Spotify, the lock screen shows the colors of the cover in a blurred way on the lock screen, a very attractive effect that unfortunately will disappear with the arrival of Android 11, according to the company itself has confirmed.
Android 11 will completely forget about the lock screen design, as reported by a Googler via Issue Tracker, the tool that Google uses to track bugs and feature requests during product development.
Many are the users who had reported the absence of this functionality through Issue Tracker. The number of users has been so high that they have had to confirm the news. However, it would not be the first time a Googler, announces the disappearance of a feature or functionality and finally if it is available.
Other users, however, were not amused that the media they were playing changed the background of the lock screen. In fact, very few were the applications that allowed disabling this functionality, with Google Play Music being one of them.
The reason for the disappearance of this feature could be found in the redesigned notification controls, another of the important novelties that will come from Android 11 in early September in its final version, at least for all terminals in the Pixel range of Google.
