amazon announced the latest update to the line of devices fire tv. As part of its hardware event, the e-commerce giant presented the news that will arrive in its line focused on streaming, including a new sound bar with compact design. Although the features are interesting, the most striking feature has to do with artificial intelligence.
As happens every year, Amazon takes advantage of the last quarter to reveal new versions of its most popular devices. This time will be no exception, although the announcements not only focus on performance, but also on the arrival of new technologies. Following in the footsteps of its closest competitors, Amazon got on the generative AI train and has fully introduced it to the user experience.
Artificial intelligence on Fire TV will allow perform searches using natural language. Users will be able to ask Alexa to search for content based on specific actors, genres, scenes or titles. For example, “Alexa, search for action movies with car chases” or “rainy day comedies.” Generative AI will be integrated into search, recommendation and navigation systems and will offer a different conversational experience than what we are used to with Alexa.
“We’ve leveraged our new big language model to create a much more natural and conversational way to find content using natural dialogue,” said Tapas Roy, vice president of Fire TV. “Simply ask Alexa nuanced or even open-ended questions about anything from genres and actors to stories and scenes, and fall into a conversation that will find you something new based on what you like, even if you don’t know what you’re looking for.” .
The Fire TV AI would solve one of the big problems of the streaming: decide what to watch.

In addition to the possibility of viewing more than 2,000 works of art on the screen, Ambient Experience will also allow you to create images using artificial intelligence.
