As part of the airline’s strategy and as of December 11, Aeroméxico informed that it will expand its operations at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to Terminal 1 (T1).
In a statement, the company said that it will initially operate 20 daily departures from T1 and will continue to operate from Terminal 2.
The airline added that it will launch an extensive communication campaign through all its official channels, to ensure that customers are informed of any changes to their original itinerary and that they make their check-in in the correct terminal.
Aeroméxico explained that it will transfer to T1 the operations of nine national routes: Campeche, Durango, Los Mochis, Matamoros, Nuevo Laredo, Reynosa, Tampico, Zacatecas and Zihuatanejo.
Additionally, it said that it will offer access to a VIP lounge to eligible customers who have a flight from T1.

Aaron Murray, Aeroméxico Commercial Executive Vice President, commented, quoted in the newsletter, that this expansion will allow them to offer customers more flight options.
“This announcement is just the beginning of our expansion to boost our leadership position in Mexico City. We want to thank the AICM for all its support and we will continue to collaborate to ensure a smooth expansion ”, he explained.
