LONDON, Oct 26 (Reuters) – Music superstar Adele said on Tuesday she will give two concerts in London’s Hyde Park next summer, her first shows in five years, an announcement British media said caused the collapse of London. his website because his fans rushed to sign up for a ticket pre-sale.
The 33-year-old singer, who topped the charts in the United States and the United Kingdom last week with her single “Easy On Me”, wrote on Twitter the message “Oiii Oiiiiiiiiiiiii”, sharing the dates of the concerts of July 1 and 2 and a link to the pre-sale on their website.
The concerts, part of the British Summer Time shows in Hyde Park, are Adele’s first since 2017.
Several British outlets, however, reported that the singer’s site crashed, citing fans who said they were unable to sign up for the pre-sale.
“I tried to sign up for more than two hours, but still can’t do it,” wrote one on Twitter.
“I’m trying to register for @Adele’s presale in Hyde Park, but registration isn’t even working haha! I think winning the lottery is easier than getting tickets to these concerts,” wrote another.
When the link is clicked, a tab opens to access pre-sale registration on the singer’s site, but the message “Currently unavailable, please try again later.” Some fans said they had been successful with the enrollment.
Other artists who will perform concerts in Hyde Park include Elton John, Duran Duran and Pearl Jam.
Adele will release her long-awaited fourth studio album “30” in November, after she released “25” in 2015, with which she won the Grammy Award. (Reporting by Marie-Louise Gumuchian; Edited in Spanish by Ricardo Figueroa)
