ProA Capital acquires one of the most important companies in the mobile accessories sector. The fund has bought the Cáceres company La Casa de la Carcasas for an amount close to 100 million euros, according to data from The Economist.
The Spanish company, specialized in the sale of mobile phone cases, has experienced unprecedented growth in the Spanish domestic market. And steadily since its foundation in 2012. Now, with 260 establishments and more than 1500 employees, it becomes one of the great sales of this segment.
According to the specialized economic media, ProA Capital has acquired La Casa de las Carcasas to boost its international growth, and thus expand a booming business in other countries.

However, it seems that everything will continue as usual. Its founder will continue to be linked to the company although with a minority position, and according to what they point out in Extremadura Channel, the bulk of its workers will continue to be linked to their positions current, including those employed in the town of Cáceres where La Casa de las Carcasas was born.
Although the objective of the fund is the internationalization of the company, the truth is that La Casa de las Carcasas already has an international presence. A year before the pandemic, it had already started operating in Portugal with its own store and soon after expanding throughout the country.
The same with Italy, where the company has long had a large presence in some of the areas of European country. Both markets, Italian and Portuguese, very similar to Spanish, so ProA Capital’s intention may be look for more ambitious ones.
The purchase of the company, which in just 10 years has become valued at 100 million by one of the most important funds in internationalization, is great news. A small company born in Jaraíz de la Vera (Cáceres) that has become a true giant of mobile accessories.
