She has actually been his wife, the presenter and model Cristina Pedrochewho has announced its launch from his Instagram account, displaying the gochismo that they always proclaim in their dishes and products.
The baptized as “Roscón XO” is perfect for those who hate -inexplicably- the most traditional candied fruit and also for the defenders of the stuffed roscón. The Madrid chef’s recipe has his unmistakable stamp on the excess sought of ingredients and the combination of flavors and exotic ingredients which in this case will take our palate on a tropical trip that will dazzle the sweet tooth.
And it is that seeing the description of this version of the sweet of Kings, and already reading the list of ingredients, it does not seem like a very suitable roscón for those who are more accustomed to less cloying masses, although the fruity and citrus touches and a curious dot of chili They promise to balance the whole thing.
The Roscón XO is prepared with a brioche dough flavored with citrus and filled with a whipped cream passion fruit and mascarpone cheese with poppy seeds, topped with a signature sauce of dulce de leche and chili. Additionally, the baked crust is topped with a crunchy coconut crumble drizzled with white chocolate and passion fruit sauce. Finally, it is decorated with small cubes of candied ginger, cereal balls and crystallized pink and purple, and ends with coconut milk powder sprinkled.
This peculiar roscón de Reyes sold exclusively at El Club Gourmet in El Corte Inglés, at 45 euros per 1.1 kg unit, and to be able to try it you have to order it in advance. The order can be made to pick up on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve or Three Kings Day, although a maximum margin of two days is offered to go for it.
