After April and May were true deserts when it comes to major video game releases, it seems that June will finally be the time when the medium begins to pick up a bit ahead of the start of the strongest season of the year. Due to the above, we have decided introducing yourself to the five titles that we think you should keep in mind over the next four weeksWell, the truth is, now there are quite interesting things on almost all fronts. We wait for you to tell us which one of them you plan to give a try from its launch day.
Devil Immortal
Blizzard is in a truly difficult moment. Although the purchase by Xbox is on the right track, the scandals and problems around the famous developer continue constantly. For many, the way to start cleaning up their image has to do exclusively with launching games of the quality that has always characterized them. Said attempt is going to take place this June 2 with Diablo Immortal, a title that, although it does not represent the expected Diablo IV at all, does seem to be a fairly worthy installment of the important franchise. Wait for its release on iOS and Android, although if you’re one of those who just can’t stand playing on your cell phone, you’ll be happy to know that you’ll also be getting a PC version.
Mario Strikers: Battle League
It’s time for Mario and company to return to the courts. In this World Cup year, Next Level Games will seek to prove its worth again after being bought by Nintendo, as Mario Strikers: Battle League will be landing exclusively on the Nintendo Switch this June 10. After all the hours of fun that the Gamecube and Wii games gave us, the idea of having a football title within the Mushroom Kingdom, the truth is that we are extremely excited. Of course, it remains to be seen how much content this new installment comes with, because in the latest games of this type, Nintendo has been left to duty precisely for wanting to launch experiences that do not feel so complete in their first days.
The Quarry
The name of Supermassive Games rose to fame when, during the past generation of consoles, they released Until Dawn exclusively for the PS4, an adventure game that basically put us in the middle of a classic slasher-type horror movie, where our decisions and some actions would determine whether or not the protagonists could survive the night. The end result was much better than we expected, so for a while now, we’ve been wondering what’s next for this developer. Well, this wait will end this June 10 with The Quarry, a title that is also full of great ideas and style. You can enjoy it on PS4, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes
The hope of having a new Fire Emblem was very much alive a few months ago, however, Nintendo decided that for now, we would have to settle for a new Warriors-type game, based on this beloved franchise. Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes will take on the world of Fire Emblem: Three Houses to introduce a new musou experience, which we know may not be for everyone. The truth is that the last Omega Force games in which Nintendo series are used have had good results, so we hope that this new attempt will be something worthy of the fans. You can expect this title to arrive exclusively on Switch on June 24.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunset
After just over a year ago, Monster Hunter Rise took the Nintendo Switch by storm, impressing locals and strangers alike with its excellent ideas and technical achievements, the time has come to return to the monster hunter with its first major expansion. Sunbreak will be looking to deliver a completely new and very robust experience just like Iceborne did with Monster Hunter World a couple of years ago and of course we can be pretty sure he’ll pull it off. Expect to be able to enjoy this DLC on June 30 in both the Switch and PC versions.
