and the story that inspired this documentary series
What happened? On January 13, 2019, Julen Rosello, two years old, fell into a well while playing on his family’s farm, located in Totalán, Málaga.. Due to this, it was necessary to activate a rescue operation for several days, since the conditions and characteristics of the place where the child had fallen were complex.
Going deeper into this last aspect: the well had a diameter of approximately 25 centimeters, with a calculated depth of 71 meters. Added to this are terrain conditions defined as difficult. In this context, the rescue attempts were extended for 13 days, without triggering a favorable outcome for the family.
This generated a shock in public opinion. Different discussions were opened about it. Some had to do with construction safety and the need for preventive measures to avoid tragedies like the one described. The complexity of the case even generated legal investigations to clarify what had happened and determine responsibilities.
