Five years ago, in 2016, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice introduced the world to the most badass version of Bat Man known to date. And to celebrate actor Ben Affleck’s 49th birthday, filmmaker Zack Snyder shared an unpublished photograph of Batman, taken during the first costume fitting for the aforementioned film.
On his Vero account, next to the shared image, the filmmaker wrote: “Taken with my phone on October 23, 2013. Happy birthday, Batman.”
Ben Affleck’s Batman
In Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, we see Affleck’s Night Knight taking on Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel in a fierce battle orchestrated by Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg). In that same year and the next, we saw Affleck again in Suicide Squad and Justice League, soon after giving up on the solo Batman movie.
As a new Bruce Wayne, Robert Pattinson was chosen, whom we will see in 2022 in the movie The Batman. But when it seemed that Ben Affleck was done with his participation in DC cinema, this year we saw him again in the director’s version of Justice League and it was confirmed that soon we will see this Bat Man alternating with the version of Michael Keaton in The Flash, which is currently filming and will be released next year.
