Civil organizations, citizens, officials and opposition politicians, as well as the two former PAN presidents, convened this Sunday for the nationwide march “The INE is not touched” to express their disagreement with the reform of the Law with which Andrés Manuel López Obrador (INE) seeks to restructure the electoral arbitrator in Mexico.
will this be November 13 when the walk in defense of the National Electoral Institute (INE) takes place in more than 36 cities and, although much has been speculated about the number of attendees that will reach the public esplanades, experts and analysts debate the legitimacy of freedom of expression and the points that validate or not the claims against the new Electoral Reform.
What is known about the march “The INE is not touched”?
This Sunday’s march aims to show disagreement and criticism of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s decision to reform the INE and even reduce its budget in 2023, since this is considered a totalitarian act that outstrips his Morena party and the “Fourth Transformation” and removes autonomy and democracy from the body in charge of legitimizing electoral contests.
With these bases, the only speaker of the movement “The INE is not touched” will be José Woldenberg, first advisor president of the predecessor of the INE, the Federal Electoral Institute (IFE), who will be supported by 51 organizations.
The #democracy needs you, spread the word and call everyone to join to raise their voice.
We are waiting for you at the march for democracy!

The label #YoSiVoyALaMarcha peaked with more than 3,500 retweets; however, she is still positioned at the top of trends. There is CONVERSATION not amplification.✅
Yesterday’s adversarial label disappeared from the top today. There was artificial AMPLIFICATION with retweets.❌ pic.twitter.com/ZZzLWlk9Lh
