Until now, we had two different applications related to the registration of our health data within the Xiaomi ecosystem, such as Xiaomi Wear and Xiaomi Health, one of them focused on synchronization with our wearable device for data registration and the other more focused on data registration only with our phone.
Now, Xiaomi has just presented the union of both applications in a single one called Xiaomi Sports Health App, a change that will be effective as of December 31 in the absence of knowing if we can also enjoy it at a Global and European level or it will be a change only in the Chinese MIUI ROMs.
Xiaomi Sports Health App the new app to record all our daily physical activity
Thanks to the arrival of Xiaomi Sports Health App, the functionalities that we could enjoy separately with the Xiaomi Wear and Xiaomi Health applications will be unified into one.
Among all of them, we can highlight the ability of Xiaomi Wear to be able to connect our Xiaomi wearables so that the data collected by devices such as Xiaomi Mi Watch, Mi Watch Lite, etc., are registered in the cloud and we can access them at all times, in addition to being able to configure all aspects related to the personalization of the smartwatch to our liking.
Of course, in this new app we will also have available all the functionalities that we find in Xiaomi Health, a service that is not available in its Global version, but that we will be able to enjoy from now on the functions integrated in it.
Among them, we can highlight the ability to record our health with the sensors built into the phone, from the simple counting of daily steps to being able to measure the heart rate with the camera sensor of our smartphone.
As we tell you, This change will not be effective until December 31 and the application is in a trial period until December 12 in order to be able to correct any error that could lead to its use. Hopefully we don’t have to wait too long to enjoy it globally.
