Xiaomi’s new high-end is official. As it had been advanced a few days ago, the Xiaomi Mi 10 arrives in two versions: Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. An extremely interesting bet that remains in line with what Xiaomi has shown today, but enhanced with elements that we will now see in their brutal specifications.
Today as part of a presentation focused on the Chinese market, and that arrives great after the cancellation of MWC 2020, Xiaomi announced all the details of the new Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, which in design are practically the same, since the differences come inside, and of course in the price.
Let’s know the details of the new Xiaomi.

The elegance of a screen with curved sides
As it has happened in the Mi family of the high-end Xiaomi, the Mi 10 and 10 Pro do not stand out for having the highest resolution, but it is not necessary since we have an efficient 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with curved sides in both devices.
The novelty comes in everything that this panel now offers, where we have support for HDR10 + and a refresh rate of 90Hz, to which a 180Hz frequency touch sensor is added. This will help us improve the response on the screen after touching it, something ideal for the new generation of mobile games.
As I mentioned, the resolution stays in FHD + (2,340 x 1,080 pixels) with an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9 and a contrast ratio of 5,000,000: 1, according to Xiaomi specifications.
Another novelty, and in which Xiaomi is placing a lot of emphasis, is the brightness on the screen. The Mi 10 and 10 Pro would be able to offer up to a peak of up to 1200 nits and even have 4096 levels of brightness adjustment and auto-dimming according to external conditions.
All the power of Snapdragon 865 and beyond
As already confirmed, the Xiaomi Mi 10 and 10 Pro arrive with the new Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 865, which is accompanied by an LPDDR5 RAM of between 8 and 12 GB, as well as a storage of 128, 256 or even 512 GB It should be noted that such storage has the UFS 3.0 standard, which will give us higher read / write rates.
A curious detail is that the Mi 10 will be compatible with an external cooling accessory, which will be sold separately. The objective of this accessory is to avoid overheating during intense days of games, which would guarantee greater autonomy and avoid a fall in the performance of the equipment.
The bet is on the cameras… again
In case it was not clear, this year will be the mobile photo bet (again). For this reason, Xiaomi shows us that the main difference between the two Mi 10 is in the cameras.
On the one hand, we have the Mi 10 Pro, which arrives with four sensors in the rear, a main one of 108 megapixels of 1 / 1.33 inches with 1.6 μm pixel, 7P lens and f / 1.69 aperture. All this enhanced with 4-in-1 pixel-binning and 4-axis optical image stabilization, in addition to improvements in artificial intelligence for photos and video recordings, compatible with 8K resolution capture.
The other three sensors are a telephoto lens that supports a hybrid zoom of up to 10x, a shorter 12 megapixel 2x sensor for portrait mode and an ultra-wide-angle of 20 megapixels.
As for the Mi 10, it retains the four sensors, including the main 108-megapixel camera with all the benefits of the Mi 10 Pro, but loses the telephoto lens through a 2-megapixel macro lens sensor, and the portrait mode sensor also drops to The 2 megapixels. For its part, the ultra-wide-angle is also present although its resolution is 13 megapixels.
For the front camera, we now have the perforated screen, which in both models offers us a single 20-megapixel sensor, whose novelty is the possibility of recording video at 120fps.
A brutal fast charge
Another of the greatest novelties is found in the battery, which in the Mi 10 is 4,780 mAh with 30W fast charging, both by cable and wireless charging, as well as 10W reverse charging for compatible accessories. Interestingly in the Mi 10 Pro, the battery capacity drops to 4,500 mAh, but its fast charge rises to 50W per cable, while the wireless is maintained at 30W and the reverse at 10W.
As for the rest of the specifications, the arrival of Android 10 with the new MIUI 11 layer is highlighted, as well as support for 5G (SA and NSA), WiFi 6, fingerprint sensor on the screen and facial recognition system. It has a pair of stereo speakers compatible with Hi-Res and up to the new Bluetooth 5.1 standard.
