In early June we had news about Xiaomi’s 200W fast charge, Xiaomi stating that there would be no excessive degradation when using it. Fast charging is usually one of the enemies of battery life, but the Chinese company has thought about it.
Now, Xiaomi gives new information regarding its batteries with 120W fast charge, which will be available on the Xiaomi 11T that we will see on September 15. Xiaomi guarantees that it will last longer than a conventional battery and with hardly any wear.

As we read in The Verge, Xiaomi has come out to defend its 120W charging system. Your next Xiaomi 11T Pro will have this system, which can raise questions about how it will affect battery life.
First of all, Xiaomi explains that the 120W batteries are divided in two. This is a conventional tactic used by manufacturers. to avoid excessive heat and make the load better distributed. But, apart from this, there are interesting technologies behind this charging system.
The software and hardware work together here, with multiple thermal sensors that detect the temperature in real time of the system components, in order to make sure that the fast charge is always carried out at a suitable temperature.
Xiaomi promises that, even charging at 120W, its batteries last up to 800 cycles with an 80% lifespan
The most striking thing is that Xiaomi promises that they are capable of 800 charge cycles with 120W load with 20% wear. These are even better figures than those found in other manufacturers with a traditional charging system, although it will remain to be verified by the users themselves.
