Don’t miss: The first teaser for the Spider-Man 2 video game has arrived!
Marvel, Insomniac and Sony Interactive released a brief teaser for the video game Wolverine, a title that could reach the Playstation console in 2023.
Ryan Schneider, Head of Franchise Strategy and Relationships at Insomniac Games, told the Playstation blog how the development of the Wolverine title took place, one of the projects he persistently pursued.
“When we were working on Marvel’s Spider-Man, there were times when we all (Insomniac, Sony Interactive Entertainment, and Marvel) would brainstorm ideas about the future beyond the web thrower. And from those early discussions, Wolverine continually emerged as the character we were excited to work with together. A couple of years later, we suddenly find ourselves in front of Sony Interactive Entertainment and Marvel formally proposing a game for PlayStation 5 with the mutant with adamantium claws as the main protagonist.”.
Schneider anticipated that the work that the Insomniac, Sony and Marvel teams are preparing for the title of Wolverine, will be an interesting way to approach the mutant created by Len Wein.
“Although Marvel’s Wolverine is just beginning to unfold, from what I could see from its emotional narrative and cutting edge play (good pun, huh?), The team is already creating something really special.“
Although the history of the Wolverine video game will not be linked to the plots of Spider-Man, this title will be exclusive to the Playstation 5 console.
