The post compares the time that each of these people lasts in the bathroom.
The Community Manager of the state account highlighted in the same publication that the image was just a meme.
Social networks are the window of communication for people today, that is why brands, personalities and even the governments of the world are in this digital world. Recently, a post from the municipality of Nuevo León on its official account on the social network Facebook, has caught the attention of Internet users, especially the inhabitants of that Mexican state, because I recommend “shaving” to save water in the face of the drought that the place is experiencing.
According to data from the 2021 Digital Report, published by Hootsuite and We Are Social, At least 55.1 percent of the world’s population is already an active user of social networks. Which means that more than 4,300 million people around the world already regularly use a social network. The study also details that the number of Social Media users in the world has grown by 13.7 percent.
In the same order, the report reveals that 99 percent of social network users use them through the mobile phone.
Municipality of Nuevo León surprises with its recommendation in the face of drought
On the Facebook page of the municipality of Guadalupe, in Nuevo León, he surprised all his followers, especially locals. by proposing “shaving” as an option to save water due to the drought that exists in the entity.
On the verified page, an image was shared where a man without hair and a woman with long hair are seen bathing. The post compares the time that each of these people takes to bathe and says “that of a person without hair is 2 minutes, and on the other hand, a person with long hair takes 4 minutes to bathe.”
The image reads the phrase: “The less hair, the more savings! There is no excuse”. “Let’s continue to take advantage of any opportunity to save water!!”, they say.
Likewise, the Community Manager of the state account highlighted in the same publication that the image was “just a meme we are NOT saying that they have to shave”. “What other unconventional action can you think of to save water?” they say in another comment.
Although the publication clarified that it was a “meme”, the negative and critical comments were immediate, where the inhabitants and followers of the page commented demanding seriousness in the face of an issue that affects many people and they do not solve it.
“Better take the water away from Ternium instead of saying that we should take a bath in less time, we are the ones who are contributing more than the companies that want to illicitly enrich themselves,” says one of the comments.
“Doubt, do the companies also cut off their water or is it suspended?” “Stop granting deforestation permits on the hill of La Silla, and stop allowing the leaders to stop distributing the hill to so many owners,” says one of the users.
“Municipality of Guadalupe, Nuevo León, as the situation is, we are not for memes or jokes,” another Internet user reads.
“Municipality of Guadalupe, Nuevo León that lacks seriousness towards such an important issue. Instead of uploading memes they should do something about water scarcity,” another user wrote.
The post that is on Friday, March 25, it already registers 2.5 thousand comments and more than 8.1 thousand interactions.
