How many times, having to choose between a bursting bladder or using a portable toilet, have we wanted to have a male urinary system? To urinate in a policlean without getting dirty and/or getting an infection (often in the dark) you need superpowers. Not to mention the tropical microclimate inside in summer. However, this inconvenience may be a thing of the past with the new female urinals. which have already premiered in Spain with Primavera Sound and will also be present at Mad Cool and Cruïlla.
It’s called Lapee and it’s a Danish invention for gender equality in massive outdoor events. According to company data, 90% of queues to go to the toilets are made up of people who need to urinate and who do so squatting. However, with its urinal model, which finally takes us into account, the waiting time is reduced from three to only thirty seconds. And it is that they are up to 600% more efficient than traditional ones.
Women’s urinals have been gaining ground in events of this type since 2019 in countries such as the United States, France, Denmark or Japan, among others. Although it has not been until now that they have arrived in Spain.
At first glance we can see that they are bright pink but the big question, after looking at a photo, is still how they work. The key is that allow the user to have the intimacy necessary to perform your needs leaving the head uncovered and leaving the view at the same level as that of a person who is standing. In this way, it allows you to have control of what happens outside.
Up to three people can use a Lapee at a time and, due to its design, there is no need to open or close any doors in the process. Also, the urinal it self-ventilates Y all have a hand sanitizing gel dispenser.
