Currently, even before a live ends on Twitch, it is possible to enter its VOD version to see it from the beginning. However, the new function that Twitch has prepared would go much further. And is that the company is already testing the possibility of rewinding in a live, along with the arrival of two other new functions.
The function has been announced through a tweet from the Twitch account itself. In addition, according to The Verge media has been able to collect, when users press the button, they will go back two minutes in the direct. Along with this, it should be noted that we can also select different speeds. While we use this feature, we can also see what is happening live in a picture-in-picture window so we don’t miss anything.
Keep in mind that if the streamer we are watching does not have the VODs enabled, we will not be able to access the function of going back in time.
Accompanied by two other functions
This new function will be tested by some users during the next month. It will also be accompanied by two other tools that will also appear on the live screen. One of them will allow users to receive a reminder of the channel’s next scheduled live show.. While with another button we can see a trailer of the channel, in case it has one.
Twitch has also set up a web page for users to post their feedback regarding these new features. Once the test has been completed, the buttons will disappear. We understand that it will be at that moment when Twitch does a check of the test statistics and meditates on the possibility of including these features on its platform.
