Eidos-Montréal has released a new cinematic of the game in line with the worldwide announcement of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy at E3 last June, where the story of Star-Lord and the Guardians when they start their plan to negotiate with Lady Hell; leader of the infernal minions, queen of Seknarf Nine and famous collector of monsters.
After letting the player decide which unusual monster to sell – Groot or Rocket – this memorable scene triggers a series of events that forces our gang of misfits to embark on a wild journey through the cosmos to end up fighting a fight for the fate of the universe.
With behind-the-scenes commentary from Eidos-Montréal Cinematics and Animation Director Darryl Purdy, you’ll soon realize that not everything is what it seems, and that Lady Hell may not be that cosmic hunter of monstrous trophies that the Guardians believed.
According to Darryl Purdy: “Lady Inferno is a character much loved by fans of the latest Marvel comics, and we have worked to ensure that her role in our Guardians universe reflects the complex and deep personality that fans long to see. With humor present in every aspect of our game, this has allowed us to turn expectations around the plot and introduce a surprising dynamic between her and a certain Destroyer. “
In closing, Darryl also shares impressions on the production of the title, noting the importance of motion capture sessions in bringing these galactic characters to life. Nearly six hours of interactive cutscenes have been shot for this original and multifaceted story.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy which is already in pre-sale, will be available on October 26, 2021 for the PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One consoles, to PC already streaming with GeForce NOW on October 26, 2021. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy – Cloud version for Nintendo Switch will also arrive in select regions on October 26.
