The application WhatsApp always surprises with new tools. Just a few days ago, it added a button called “approve new participants” in the beta, which allows administrators to decide who enters a chat, regardless of whether they are invited by a member of the group. If you want to know more about it, you can read the following report.
Another of the changes that come to the application is the option to hide or show our phone number in a chat. The same users will have control over the information they share in a group.
“Whenever you receive a message from an unknown contact in a group chat, now the username appears instead of the phone number inside the chat list”, details the specialized portal WaBetainfo.
Thanks to this change, you will be able to know who it is when they are talking in a WhatsApp group and you will not have to guess or ask for the name.
Change of name in WhatsApp
“As you can see in this screenshot, whenever you receive a message from an unknown contact in a group chat, the name of the push is now displayed instead of the phone number within the chat list.
This change definitely makes it easier for the recipient to understand who the unknown contact is without having to save the number as a new contact and is especially useful in large group chats where it can be difficult to identify unknown members of the group.
Please note that the embed name may appear instead of the phone number even in different sections of the application, for example, the list of group participants”, explains the mentioned portal.
