Merca 2.0 received a complaint from a consumer.
On February 5, he bought some Nuggets at Walmart and when he opened them to eat with his son he noticed that they were moldy.
Due to a failure in its quality control of the retailer, the health of the family could be affected.
Today, Merca 2.0 received a complaint from a consumer who bought some Nuggets of the Great Value brand at Walmart Tepeyac, located in the Gustavo A. Madero delegation, Mexico City, and when opened they were in a state of decomposition.
Today, brands no longer only sell products, but also create emotions in the consumer, this time Walmart Mexico’s quality control failed and generated in the client a feeling of concern for her health and that of her son.
Walmart fails in its quality control and loses customer loyalty
The retailers They have the obligation to maintain the safety of their products and comply with the quality in the process to avoid threatening the health of the consumer.

For the consumer, the brand experience was not pleasant and as a consequence brand loyalty is affected, since mistrust is created.
The experience of negative emotions such as regret and disappointment have consequences in consumer behavior. According to Marianela Matías Sánchez in “Consuming emotions, Emotional intelligence applied to marketing”, consumers who experience negative emotions are those who recognize that there is a better option, and switch to another service provider.
Opens nuggets spoiled and exposes possible harm to your family’s health
The consumer provided Merca 2.0 with photographs of the decomposing product. This, despite the fact that the expiration date indicated July 1, 2022.
“They still had the cellophane, they were well closed,” the consumer assured Merca 2.0.
In these cases, the Federal Consumer Attorney’s Office (Profeco) recommends going to the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris) to file a health complaint for quality control.
And it is that health complaints can be filed for any fact, act or omission that represents a risk or causes damage to the health of the population.
Although Nuggets have not caused damage to the family that bought them, the negative emotion caused by the brand caused them to stop feeling Walmart as a close company.
Let us remember that in 2021, Profeco announced that during the Good End, Walmart together with Sam’s Club and Volaris received 165 claims and were the companies with the highest number of complaints.
Another announcement that put the chain in the mouth of public opinion was the investigation carried out by Tec-Check, where it appears as the self-service store with the most complaints in the period of January and August 2021.
