If Namor’s debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever materializes, the MCU would also welcome mutants thanks to the monarch of Atlantis
The plot of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever could be the debut of Namor the Sub-Sailor, played by Tenoch Huerta, and not only would the mythology of Atlantis enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the mutants would also arrive in the MCU, before the incorporation of the X-Men.
Do not miss: This is how Tenoch Huerta’s Namor would come to the plot of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Let’s go back a few years in time, when in the year 1939 Namor became one of the three original superheroes of the golden age along with Human Torch (Jim Hammond) and Captain America. The Submariner returned to action in 1963 in the pages of Fantastic Four #4 (May, 1962).
A year later the X-Men arrived in the Marvel Universe, and in the first issues it was established that Namor was not only the monarch of Atlantis, it was established that the Submariner was the first known mutant in Marvel, which led to both Charles Xavier as Magneto to convince him to convince him in his ally.
Namor can become both a hero and an anti-hero, as he could become the antagonist of heroes and villains alike.
What would be Namor’s status in the MCU?
In 2019, after the end of phase three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the merger between the assets of The Walt Disney Company and 21th Century Fox was finalized, for which the film rights of the characters held by Fox came to Marvel Studios. .
Two attractive assets of this merger were the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises, both of which will be integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The first family of Superheroes will arrive from the hand of Jon Watts in 2023 or 2024, while the mutants still do not have a defined project to debut, but Namor could be the first mutant and the one who opens the way for the children of the atom to his arrival in the MCU.
Another mutant that could join the MCU in 2023 would be Dazzler through Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will continue to explore the unique world of Wakanda and all of the rich and varied characters introduced in the first film.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will feature the return of Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Lupita N’yongo and Angela Basset. Mexican Tenoch Huerta joins as Namor, the Submariner and Dominique Thorne will debut as Riri Williams
Written and directed by Ryan Coogler, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set for release on November 11, 2022.
