Twitter, since its founding in 2006, has managed to bring together a community of more than 400 million users.
After the brand headed by Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), Vicente Fox, on Twitter, revived one of the old fake news that was launched against the current President of Mexico, starring an adult movie actor.
In concrete figures, today there are almost five billion users who are connected to the Internet and, of course, to social networks, where Facebook is the leading platform in the market with almost 3 billion registered users, according to what DataReportal mentions.
Taking this premise into account, it should be noted that Twitter, since its founding in 2006, has managed to bring together a community of more than 400 million active users so fareven though, according to official data, there are more than a billion accounts registered.
In a way, it can be said that both Facebook and Twitter started the revolution of social networks, each one, yes, with its own proposal for users.
Unlike Metal’s social network, Twitter has been the space, above all, for personalities involved in politics and, somehow, a much more concrete discussion forum.
In this sense, a recent study of Euclidean Distance Analysis Group reveals which journalists in Mexico have the greatest dominance on Twitter, with Carlos Loret de Mola, Héctor de Mauleón, Chumel Torres, Epigmenio Ibarra, Carmen Aristegui and Joaquín López-Dóriga being the main journalists who dominate Twitter in the country.
Vicente Fox revives fake news against AMLO with actor “nopor”
This weekend, the march was carried out with which the government headed by Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced to “celebrate” the four years of the so-called Fourth Transformation.
As expected, the digital community showed all kinds of reactions, both for and against AMLO, but one tweet in particular has drawn attention today in which the protagonist is Vicente Fox Quesada, former President of the Republic, beginning in the year 2000 and concluding its mandate in 2006.
And it is that Vicente Fox, through his Twitter account, made a post in which he revived one of the fake news against López Obrador that went viral a few months ago: the photo of an adult film actor, who, supposedly, was the son of AMLO.
The tweet has already been deleted; However, some users recovered it and it is one of the trends in the so-called bird social network.

Undoubtedly, although it is true that social networks are one of the most profitable tools for brands today, reality dictates that misinformation has taken over the digital sector.
During the pandemic, the phenomenon of fake news (which was called the “infodemic”) was one of the biggest challenges to meet at a time when all information is now filtered through digital channels.
It was recently revealed that 56.4 percent of Internet users around the world express concern about not knowing what is true and what is not in the field of news on the Net, according to the report. Digital 2021.
