The Grammy Awards give awards to the most important artists in the music industry.
Presumably Jimmie Allen was not notified of the death of Vicente Fernández and after awarding him a Grammy he mentioned that “it was not”.
This type of “accidental” events have managed to considerably raise the rating of the events on different occasions.
Vicente Fernández was commemorated and awarded a Grammybut the presenter allegedly had no knowledge of his death.
The music industry has demonstrated its economic importance around the world, both for the income of the artists and also for all those movements that take place around them, such as record companies, concerts, presentations, awards, among countless other areas that benefit with musical expansion. According to the graph shown by Statista on the music industry revenue from performance rights worldwide, only during 2020 these came to represent the figure of 2,300 million dollars, without counting the other aspects that are involved, so there are endless other factors to consider.
Despite the fact that there is currently a wide diversity of artists, there are some figures who have managed to win the hearts of Mexican listeners over the decades, among them, Vicente Fernández, who died on December 12.
Given this event, national attention focused on all kinds of actions that took place after her death, as was the problem in which she was involved. Televisa with the singer’s family due to the realization of his bioseries; however, it seems that said event could have remained in Mexican territory.
Taking into account the wide world of music, the Grammy Awards make sure to give a distinction by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States to recognize artists for distinguishing themselves in this industry, year after year.
Given the Vicente Fernández was one of the great figures in Mexican music, the Grammys they chose to reward him with an award in the Best Regional Music Album category for his last album before his death, A mis 80’s; however, perhaps not everyone was aware of his death a few months ago.
The person in charge of announcing the Grammy to Vicente FernandezJimmie Allen (country music singer), was criticized in networks for mentioning that said artist did not attend the award ceremony:

Before this, Internet users had all kinds of reactions, since some of their comments were “what an idiot”, “it’s good that Will Smith was not there or he slaps him”, “yesterday I failed the Grammys, he won me the dream, but I see many reasons to see the repetition”, among other types of thoughts that were not long in coming on the networks.
Likewise, it is thought that because he is a figure of Mexican national caliber, it is understandable that this is not the responsibility of the singer who was not aware of the death of Vicente Fernandez, rather it is a fault on the event organizers for not notifying you about this; however, there is no doubt that this type of action considerably raises the rating of the events.
Although this type of world-class events manage to attract millions of spectators around the world, due to the presence of social networks, fewer and fewer people are interested in seeing these awards live, which is why the rating over the years.
Taking this into consideration, from time to time there are some “accidental” occasions that manage to be the best marketing for the industry and thus position themselves again in the digital conversation, as we saw last week with the “slap” that Will Smith gave Chris Rock.
Although these types of actions could effectively be poor planning of the event or inconveniences presented along the way, there is no doubt that they are a catapult to position yourself in the digital spotlight, just as we saw years ago when the presenter Steve Harvey was “wrong” and he awarded a Miss Universe, from whom he later took the crown for an alleged “confusion”.
Small “accidents” on international television have proven to be a strong strategy to continue positioning oneself in the digital conversation.
