Another “exclusive” from Playstation to PC arrives and finally the Uncharted saga debuts on computers, specifically the Legacy of Thieves collection, which includes the fourth game and its expansion.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection It is available for PS4, PS5 and PC.
Another lemon for broth
Well, as a PC user, it’s impossible for me not to celebrate Sony Playstation’s initiative to now bring its exclusives to computers. It may take a while, but after God Of War, Spider-Man and soon The Last of Us; There are fewer and fewer games on the console that do not have their adaptation.
Now it’s the saga’s turn Uncharted which started in 2017, which had four games from PS3 to P4, some others that went through the PS Vita portable and finally an expansion. What comes to PC is Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collectiona collection of Uncharted 4 (2016) and the expansion Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (2017).
I’m not going to go into details because just like my Spider-Man review; I couldn’t fault these wonderful games for anything. The story of Nathan Drake and company is an adventure that fascinates adventure lovers and has found its rightful place with classic characters like Indiana Jones and Lara Croft.
Perhaps the problem for those of us who have a PC is that it is not available Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, the collection that contained the original trilogy that was released on PS4. It is not reprehensible, the fourth part is understood but if they want more context, PC players are going to have to read some summary on the internet.
But beyond that, Naught Dog brings us these two adventures dedicated to the single player experience and that are a carbon copy of the original versions, except for some technical changes in the port.
The thrilling chase and destruction sequences are still there, the puzzles that play very well with the environment and the emblematic characters of the saga that emanate that sympathy in a story that we always want to know a little more about.
Correct adaptation without big surprises
Iron Galaxy is responsible for adapting the game to PC and despite the fact that it is recommended to play it with joysticks, the option to try it with a keyboard and mouse is quite adaptable, being able to put the keys at our whim and comfort.
Technically, the PC version comes with improvements: native 4K resolution, support for ultrawide monitors and their respective resolution. There are improvements to texture shading that allow for a bump in image quality, but don’t expect any big changes. This is just an adaptation, not a remake or remaster.
Although despite being 4 or 5 years old, the games still feel impressively artistic and stand the test of time.
It features resolution scaling options, including AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 (FSR2) and Nvidia’s DLSS. And settings for textures, anisotropic filter, shadows, reflections, and ambient occlusion.
conclusion
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection It comes to PC with almost the same specifications that it had in its original version. It is great that the famous character of Nathan Drake is now on this platform, but it is not understood how they did not adapt the first three games at the time.
The passage of time was evident but they were already impressive games at the time and they continue to be so now in the PC library.
