We have Ellie and Joel for a while.
For several months, despite its supposed end in June 2020 with the launch of the second installment, the name of The Last of Us is sounding very strong in the video game industryaffecting this not only the series that HBO Max is doing and that, as far as we know, It has a budget similar to that of Game of Thronesbut we would also be seeing how the saga could return from the hand of Naughty Dog.
This is not something that is said randomly, since everything indicates that Naughty Dog would be carrying out three projects in development, pointing most directions to The Last of Us, since the strongest rumors point to a remake of the first installment, a port or remaster of the second for PS5 and a multiplayer game with the characters.
Under this premise, speculation has already begun about the launch of The Last of Us remake in 2023 along with the HBO series. However, it sounds like it might not be the only project we’d see anytime soon involving Ellie and Joel.
An insider points out that there are two The Last of Us projects planned to launch later this year or early next year
Under this premise, it should be noted that, like all good rumours, You have to take the information with tweezers until an official confirmation is given by any of those responsible. Having said all this, in this case we have to talk about two possible games that would arrive in the coming months related to The Last of Uswhich, according to well-known insider Tom Henderson, they would be launched either at the end of this year or the beginning of next.
As rumored with the remake, these two games would be designed to accompany the launch of the series, since it is known that Sony is choosing to launch video games together with other productions, as has been the case with Uncharted Collection: the legacy of thieves together with the film starring Tom Holland. You can see Henderson’s tweet below:
According to my own sources, there are a couple of TLOU projects that are near completion and could release by the end of 2022/Early 2023.
I’d expect to hear about these projects soon if they were to release this holiday period. pic.twitter.com/3CCVRHS5Bj

It should be noted that Henderson affirms that the projects would be almost finishedso they may even be announced at the rumored PlayStation Showcase in March, making this the perfect setting to announce new games following the launch of Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7.
