Technology exceeds any type of limit and artificial intelligence (AI) programs have helped accelerate many advances and discoveries, such as giving purpose to the phrase “we all have a double somewhere on the planet.” That is Twin Strangers.
According to the report published on the website of PTRTwin Strangers is a website that can find people who are so similar to each other that they are able to pass off as twins or “clones” using an AI.
Interestingly, this platform originated in 2015 as part of a challenge between three roommates, who were inspired by the journalist Sophie Robehmed, who found her doppelganger in 2011 and found finding someone so similar impressive.
How does Twin Strangers work?
The system asks users for specific data to use the platform, such as a photograph of their face, country of origin, gender, username and email. Then, the web will request a payment from Internet users who wish to use it and can find their double.
Twin Strangers offers a paid service to be able to scan faces similar to those of the people who use it among its database of more than nine million registered users. If the tool manages to find the twin, it will offer an option to get in touch via a “Connect” button. If the other user also agrees to connect, you can start a conversation.
Through its different accounts on social networks and the website, Twin Strangers ensures that it has successful cases and that there are several. Honestly, the resemblance between the people connected is strikingly similar.
