There are several movies about vampires, from the classics like Nosferatu (1922) or Dracula (1931), until the reinvention of the myth for new generations as in Interview with the vampire, starring Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. However, there is a saga that managed to captivate the young audience, with a story of vampire romance, the films of Twilight, and here we tell you in what order and where you can see them.
The big screen adaptations of the books written by Stephenie Meyer managed to move thousands of young people with their plot and characters. But it is worth mentioning of the five films that make up this saga, not all of them were very well received by critics or their fans.
Twilight Movies: Timeline
Being a story that develops in chronological order, there is no loss. The most logical thing is to see them in the same order in which they were released:
- Twilight (2008)
- New Moon (2009)
- Eclipse (2010)
- Dawn, part 1 (2011)
- Dawn Part 2 (2012)
Twilight Movies: Where to Watch and Order from Worst to Best
5. New Moon (Dir. Chris Weitz, 2009)
The second installment of the saga was a mess of relationships, but Jacob (Taylor Lautner) got more recognition here. During the plot we can see Edward’s breakup with Bella and how Jacob and Bella begin to get closer. However, the plot can become boring and slow after a while, as Edward’s manipulations and Bella’s codependency become somewhat tedious.

4. Dawn, part 1 (Dir. Bill Condon, 2011)
The first part of the saga’s finale focuses on the wedding of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. Also in Bella’s transformation into a vampire. One of the plus points of this movie is the wedding scenes. Fans have considered it a “visual delight.” Besides, it has some unexpected twists and if it weren’t for them, there probably wouldn’t be a part two and it would have all ended in this movie.

3. Eclipse (Dir. David Slade, 2010)
Eclipse It is one of those movies that are neither so good nor so bad. The plot has a lot of action, drama, romance and comedy. One of its points in favor is the Cullens’ battle against Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre, since she wanted to kill Bella. It has mature themes and a quite exciting story that they knew how to project on the big screen.

2. Dawn Part 2 (Dir. Bill Condon, 2012)
This is among the best films of Twilight, since in we can see a Bella turned into a vampire. In addition, it also focuses on the Cullen family’s struggles to keep their clan safe as the Volturi have learned of the birth of Reneesme, Bella and Edward’s daughter. Despite having somewhat exaggerated effects – for example with the size of the wolves – it did not stop fans from loving the end of the Saga.

1. Twilight (Director Catherine Hardwicke, 2008)
Nothing less could be expected from the first paid film Twilight, since it is the one that introduced us to Edward Cullen, Bella Swan and Jacob Black. The plot revolves around Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart), who will have a relationship which will evolve throughout the Saga. One of the strengths of this film is the director Catherine Hardwicke, as she tells the story from Bella’s point of view in a not so cheesy way but with a good teenage romance vibe.
