Donald Trump does not want to lose his most loyal followers, so he decided that he should decorate them with a “Trump card”, a series of red and gold cards that serve to show support for the former president of the United States.
It was through two emails that a joint Save America and Make America Great Again PAC fundraising committee asked supporters to join in with this identifier that looks like a credit card and bears the signature of the former president. .
“The card you select will be carried by the Patriots across the country,” the first email read. “They will be a sign of your dedicated support for our movement to SAVE AMERICA, and I am fully trusting you,” the emails read.
In a follow-up email, the Trump team said the cards would be released soon, but they would be reserved only for the “STRONGEST supporters of President Trump.”
They also noted that they recently met with the president in his Florida office to show him the designs and although it was originally planned to release just one, “when President Trump saw the cards on his desk, he said, ‘These are BEAUTIFUL. We should let the American people decide: They ALWAYS know what’s best! ‘
In both cases, people who clicked on any of the designs to select their favorite were redirected to a page where the selected card was displayed and a donation was requested to the Save America Joint Fundraising Committee.
The function of these cards
So far, nowhere in the emails disclosed was the function of these cards included or what are the benefits of having a Trump card, so different media outlets contacted the former president’s office to find out more about.
However, from a political marketing point of view, the reason for these cards is nothing more than to keep former President Donald Trump in place, who on more than one occasion has hinted that he could run for president in 2024.
Also, personalizing and making voters feel appreciated is undoubtedly the best way to maintain the strength that it had from social networks.
The “Trump Card” is also a way to continue raising funds for the group, since on July 26 it was announced that signed photos of Trump were being sold for $ 45, from an email.
Trump Card compared to Nazi symbol
Each of the proposed cards was dark red and gold, included Trump’s signature, as well as a space for the name and an identification number of each citizen, however, there were some details that did not go unnoticed.
One of the designs had a spelling error, because instead of saying “official”, it said “official”, this understanding that the language in which they are written in English. Another had the presidential seal as a watermark, despite a federal law which prohibits the use of the seal for such purposes.
However, the one that stole the attention of many users on Twitter was the one with a large golden eagle with outstretched wings and head turned to the right, on a plain red background adorned with the Save America logo, comparing it to a Nazi symbol used during Adolf Hitler’s Third Reich in Germany.

Although, the Nazis used several versions of an eagle with outstretched wings and that between its claws held a swastika, which is why the Nazi eagle is currently considered a symbol of hatred by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).

The eagle’s gaze has different meanings, since if it looks to the right of the viewer it means that it is the party or party eagle, while if it looks to the left it is called a reichsadler (the imperial eagle).
However, it is important to clarify that the eagle is not an exclusive symbol of the Nazis, since even the United States government has used it repeatedly, since the bald eagle is the national bird of the United States and appears on the seal. presidential.
