Tomb Raider has been one of the most endearing video games, with a large and solid community of players around the world. Square Enix gave new meaning to the word adventure with this fun yet engaging game. The story of Lara Croft acquired different nuances throughout the saga and managed to position herself as one of the most emblematic characters in the action-adventure genre. With a total of 35 titles, it is one of the most successful franchises since its first release in 1996 (a third-person shooter). That is why the premiere planned for 2024, which seems to be a remake, has excited a large number of players who have closely followed the saga.
The remake of Tomb Raider could be a fact
After some discussions about the next decisions of the franchise, a Reddit user, under the name of [Stock_Presentation],(https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLeaksAndRumours/comments/tyr6n9/official_tomb_raider_account_might_be_hinting_at/) has shared something that indicates a possible remake. The description that the user gives from the last publications of the official franchise account is the next:
“Just hours after it was announced that the next Tomb Raider game was in active development under Unreal Engine 5, the official account suspiciously changed its cover to reimagined art from Tomb Raider 1; along with the official announcement video, The franchise’s new logo was also unveiled, which is very reminiscent of the one used for the first games. This could be a real clue that the new game is a remake.”
The image you just saw shows a new Lara Croft with a spectacular design that could mean her return with more careful visual details and other interesting touches in the setting that remind us of the protagonist’s journeys through exotic environments, lost temples and ancient civilizations.
Despite the fact that the franchise has not yet positioned itself on its next release, speculation has not stopped arising among the gaming community, after its recent activity on networks. On the other hand, the comments about what his next adventure would be were immediate, in addition to the fact that among the reactions, another user also made a quite pertinent observation that could indicate that it is a remake:
“Shadow’s original ending was actually pointing to the events of Tomb Raider 1, but was changed after the first patch for some reason. This is another thing that makes me think a remake might be the game they’re working on.”
The Tomb Raider saga, an endless adventure
In case you haven’t played this amazing saga yet, The first Tomb Raider title focuses on the story of Lara Croft, an archaeologist from Great Britain, whose mission is to search for treasures and relics from the ancient world.. The plot, which gave rise to many other stories later, begins with a nuclear detonation in New Mexico. After the explosion of this unidentified object, the parts that resulted from this event, a date would change the fate of Lara Croft. After that, the first mission of the archaeologist is to recover the Scion, an ancient artifact that is hidden in the depths of the Inca culture. A great start for the action that the protagonist embodies in each of her missions.
The Tomb Raider (1996) perspective is presented in the third person and Lara is visible at all times. The camera follows her from behind and the scenes, with cubic touches, are made in three dimensions. Croft’s objective is to find one of the most important artifacts, so he will have to search around tombs and other exotic landscapes typical of the Inca people.. But not only that, but he must face wild animals and solve some puzzles to advance towards his mission.
