In personnel selection processes, both employers and candidates are expected to provide the complete information that is needed so that both parties can choose the candidates and vacancies, respectively, that best suit them.
But sometimes one of the parties can hide information or lie about certain important data. Such is the case of many companies that carry out their recruitment processes directly or of personnel selection companies. There are many cases in which information about the salary offered and other important details are not provided for the candidates to decide if the vacancy is the right one for them.
The most uncomfortable thing for companies is when this type of omission of information goes viral, or worse yet, they publicly refuse to answer questions from candidates and those interested in their vacancies.
This happened to a TikTok user, who from a publication in his account recounts what happened. After seeing a video on said social network, in which a call center company called T&T center was promoting a vacancy, the user says that he entered to see the comments of the video.
@lhurtado95 I would tag them: @tyt_centro but they blocked me. The offer is 1,400 weekly, that’s why they don’t want to say it, they know that it immediately generates rejection. #fyp #callcenterlife #trabajo ♬ original sound – Luis Hurtado
In the comments of the video, the company only responded to the interested parties that in order to know the economic offer of their vacancy, they had to go to a face-to-face interview or look for them on Facebook to give them the information through that medium.
Given these answers, the user chose to intercede and question the company about its lack of honesty by not placing the salary directly in the job offer. In addition, the user decided to place the salary of the vacancy, which was 1,400 pesos a week, so the company decided to block TikTok comments on the video.
The user argues in the rest of the video about the importance of making visible the abusive practices that some companies may have against their employees or, in this case, even against those interested in their vacancies.
In addition, during the video, he deals with other issues such as labor exploitation that many people who have worked in call centers refer to, as well as the importance of employees doing the work that corresponds to them, neither more nor less, this in the context of the so-called quiet quitting or silent resignation.
The user ends his video by recommending that job seekers always ask companies for information about the benefits they offer.
What do you think of companies that do not put the salary range in their vacancies?
