How does SafeTix work?
Key features of the SafeTix app include its dynamic system, which generates a new code every 15 seconds. This design effectively eliminates the possibility of fraudsters creating counterfeit tickets or duplicating legitimate ones.
Digital tickets will be available in each user’s account, which must be verified via email and phone number.
Customers will be able to download and transfer digital accesses from the My Events section, within the Ticketmaster México application. You can also download the codes in the wallets of mobile phones.
At the entrance to the venue, users must show the dynamic code for it to be scanned by staff.
In which venues does SafeTix already work?
For now, among the venues that already operate with these accesses are the Arena México and the Teatro Metropólitan.
“We have brought a secure, 100% digital ticket. Our goal is to change the experience from ticket purchase to admission,” said Ana María Arroyo, general director of Ticketmaster México.
This is one of the changes that the company implemented in its mobile application, after the crisis that was generated in December, due to the number of cloned tickets for the Bad Bunny concert at the Azteca Stadium.
The other improvements to the Ticketmaster application
The Ticketmaster application had other changes that aim to improve the purchasing experience of users who browse the digital platform of the ticket office.
Among the tools that have improved in the application is the ‘help button’, which seeks to expedite the response to user complaints and doubts.
There is also the virtual row; registration for high-demand events that shuts out bots and resellers; and an access control system to the venues that speeds up the reading of legitimate tickets and makes it easier to identify fake tickets.
“We seek to close the spaces to illegal sales and protect the user experience,” added Arroyo, who came to the company’s management in January, with the task of promoting technological change at Ticketmaster.
The directive explained that in the last five years Ticketmaster has made investments of 900 million dollars in technology worldwide.
