After a decade of waiting, fans of Tite Kubo’s original manga will be able to enjoy the final arc in animated format with Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War (bleach: Sennen Kessen–hen), Here we show you the trailer, the release date and the platform of streaming where will it be available in Latin America.
What is it about?
Tite Kubo’s work was originally serialized in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump between 2001 and 2016. The manga has sold more than 130 million copies worldwide. The story has inspired video games, novels, stage plays, a movie live action Japanese and, of course, a successful anime adaptation consisting of a series of 366 episodes, two OVAs and four feature films.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War adapts the last arc of the book known as the “Bloody War of a Thousand Years”, which spans volumes 55 to 74.
Here the official synopsis:
“When a new enemy appears, substitute shinigami Ichigo Kurosaki leaps back onto the battlefield with his Soul Severing Sword to help those in need.”

Production team and cast
The series continues in the hands of Pierrot (Naruto), studio responsible for all franchise projects since 2004. The main change between the staff falls into the figure of Tomohisa Taguchi (Akudama Drive), who replaces Noriyuki Abe as director. Taguchi will also oversee and write the series scripts. Masashi Kudo returns as character designer and Shiro Sagisu as composer. The series will feature the return of the original cast led by Masakazu Morita as Ichigo Kurosaki.
At Anime Expo 2022, Tite Kubo mentioned that he is heavily involved with all aspects of the anime, acknowledging that some scenes from the manga have been omitted, though he wishes to incorporate them later if possible. The creator of bleach He added that fans can expect a modern and refreshing viewing experience in terms of production in this sequel.
Where to see Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War?
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will arrive exclusively on February 22, 2023 a star plus in Latin America. The episodes will debut in its catalog with subtitles and dubbing into Latin Spanish.
The anime began airing on simulcast on October 11, 2022 in Japan and in Anglo-Saxon countries through Hulu and Disney Plus. The sequel will have a total of 52 episodes divided into four courses (quarters), although they will not be broadcast consecutively.
The first of four parts ended with 13 episodes last December, and will return with new chapters in July 2023 in Japan.
