This player did not forget a single detail of Hogwarts castle when recreating it in Minecraft.
Since its release in 2011, the popular and successful open-world game Minecraft has really strove to enhance its creative tools through its classic blocky style. And, since then, it has opened many doors for players looking to show off their building talents.
Of course, the mechanics of the game have evolved after Mojang expanded its maps to such a degree that only few know how far they could go if they walked to the end, which in reality only fades into a kind of void, as it has been able to check it out a player. The latter was given the task of finding out how far he could walk to reach the last thing that is automatically generated by the computer. And yes, he did, so much so that now we know what form it takes.
However, this doesn’t stop the rest of the player base from trying to improve their experience in other ways.
In other words, Minecraft is basically a phenomenon all over the world not only among his fans, but he has become a benchmark of popular culture in terms of creativity. And it is not for less, since the resources offered by the title are practically unlimited, even exploration is an attraction for an important section of its players. And while many fans only play Minecraft to hang out alone or with friends, the reality is that others take the art they can make too seriously.
Minecraft constructions, unlimited practice
While players from all over the world agree to create a project that recreates some of the most representative spaces of large cities with the aim of building the entire real world virtually, there are those who enjoy other types of creations.
On the internet we can find fabulous constructions that have come from the player’s imagination and, of course, others that, although they do not exist in the real world, imitate some of the most famous scenarios from various books, movies, among others.
This is the case of a fan of Harry Potter -a franchise that by itself is successful all over the world with thousands of fans-, who has made a great recreation of Hogwarts on the Minecraft subreddit.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is an iconic location within the Harry Potter series of novels.. And, as the detailed narrative explanations explain, it is a magical castle that will soon be the centerpiece of the upcoming RPG Hogwarts Legacy. As we know, the school is huge, with outstanding towers, huge corridors and turrets, and it has taken one player years to recreate it.
A Reddit user known as ducky_67recently shared a video on the Minecraft subreddit showing years of work, resulting in an incredible recreation of Hogwarts castle. This construction includes even the most complex aspects of the castle’s architecture, as well as including the floating candles in the Great Hall and, not surprisingly, the garden outside Hagrid’s hut. Below you can appreciate this authentic work of art:
As we mentioned earlier, fans of Mojang’s game have always gone to great lengths when it comes to completing feats or showing off their own achievements to the community. In fact, actually minecraft is a survival game, where we can also see the feats in question in this category. From players defeating the Ender Dragon in just a few minutes, there are those who mine impressive amounts of Minecraft blocks. But one undeniable fact is that no matter how it is played, fans have shown passion and love for Minecraft.
So it was only natural that these players would bring their admiration for other cultural phenomena and show it off in the best possible way. As we’ve seen, while Hogwarts castle is surely one of the most elaborate constructions we’ve seen lately, it’s by no means the only epic work on display in the huge Minecraft community.
The good news is that Mojang continues to develop improvements for this iconic title. As in everything, some of them have not turned out to be the best for delivery; however, updates always offer new content for fans and reiterate the company’s commitment to its fans. So, as things have been going, we’ll have more news of both exploits and updates that help players become more strategic or more creative.
