- FIFA revealed the logo and the official brand of the 2026 World Cup that will take place in Mexico, the United States and Canada.
- For the first time, the tournament will have the participation of 48 teams instead of 32.
- Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA, highlighted the customization of the logo and the distribution of venues among the three countries, considering the logistics and the distances to be covered.
FIFA presented the official brand and logo of the 2026 World Cup, which will take place in Mexico, the United States and Canada.
Likewise, the president of the organization, Gianni Infantino, gave more details about the logistics of the event that, for the first time, will have the participation of 48 teams, and not 32 as it was up to now.
“For the first time in the history of the Cup, an image of the trophy and the year of the tournament are represented with an innovative design language that anchors the logo for 2026, but also beyond,” FIFA said in a statement that then Infantino shared.
“The image of the trophy and the year will allow for customization to showcase the uniqueness of each host nation, while building an identifiable brand structure for the upcoming World Cups,” he added.
It must be remembered that all the games of the 2026 FIFA Cup will be shared between Mexico, the United States and Canada.
The United States will take over the lion’s share and will have 11 venues out of a total of 16: Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Kansas, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami and New York/New Jersey.
In Mexico, there will be matches in CDMX, Guadalajara and Monterrey; and in Canada, in Vancouver and Toronto.
After the presentation, it became a trend #WeAre26.

Logo and logistics for the 2026 World Cup
According to Infantino, the teams will be grouped “by region” to avoid extensive transfers in the first phase of the event.
“It will be a great challenge for all the logistics,” said the FIFA president; and he added: “It is a continent that organizes: there are three countries, and not three small countries, but three very large countries.”
He also spoke of the differences in heights with respect to the sea level that CDMX has and of offering an “adequate context” so that the teams and fans “do not have to travel too much, especially at the beginning.”
“The trips and organization of the bases and the mobility of the teams in the 2026 World Cup were the subject of discussion in meetings in Doha of the 32 coaches involved in the Qatar World Cup,” said Infantino.
