During the movie saga The ice Age, Scrat was, without a doubt, one of the characters that most stole everyone’s heart. After Disney lost the copyright to the character, Blue Sky Studios, in charge of making the saga, says goodbye with a sweet video of the adorable squirrel.
On April 10, 2021, Disney made the decision to permanently close Blue Sky Studios, the animation studio that created the film saga The ice Age Y Riverdue to economic problems related to the covid-19 pandemic.
One year after the closure of the study, on April 13, 2022, under the title the enda 34-second video appeared on YouTube that presents one of the latest animation works of said production company.
In the clip you can see Scrat, who after 20 years of chasing his much desired acorn, was finally able to have it in his possession and this time, instead of hiding it, he simply eats it, and then continues on his way.
In the video description the end posted on YouTube mentions the following:
In the final days of Blue Sky Studios, a small team of artists gathered for one last shot. This shot is a farewell, a farewell on our own terms.
The link of the video is quite special, since it is hidden and the channel that published it is not verified, which gives us to understand that it is an unofficial short, but that it was made by the employees of Blus Sky Studios .
Despite the simplicity of the video, the scene is quite significant both for the fans of the movies The ice Age as for the followers of Scrat. There is no better way to say goodbye to our beloved squirrel than to see that after several years, he managed to enjoy his acorn. Goodbye, Scrat!
