Red Dead Redemption 2 has established itself as one of the most influential and ambitious games in the entire history of the industry. With arguably the largest and most detailed open world created to date, it’s hard to say that Rockstar Games hasn’t thrown all the meat on the grill in its latest game, released in 2018.
And yet, it looks like it was initially going to be even more massive. A hidden scene in Red Dead Redemption 2 suggests a lot of content was cut before it came out. The scene has been found in the game files (through datamining) by youtuber Kush Qroxwho has also taken the trouble to render it and upload it so that we can see it ourselves.

If you have seen the scene and do not fully understand what is happening, don’t worry, we explain it to you. Do you remember the side quest where Arthur Morgan meets Jeremy Gill? in it, the fisherman entrusts him to catch all kinds of legendary fish throughout the map, but it is not possible to complete it until the epilogue of the game, where we control John Marston, since many fish are only in Blackwater and New Austin (regions of the Red Dead Redemption 1 map) and are not accessible by Arthur.
Well, in this deleted scene, you can see how the character sends Arthur to Rio Bravo, within those “inaccessible” regions, to which Arthur reluctantly agrees. Users continuously wondered what was the reason for the presence of the Red Dead Redemption 1 map in the title, when no main mission sends us there, no side missions, and practically nothing to do, suggesting that, probably, at some point in the development it was thought to do something with that part of the map, but for whatever reason the idea ended up being discarded at the last minute, leaving the map there. This deleted scene adds even more fuel to the fire of that rumor.
