Xiaomi has just announced the laptops with which they are compatible with Windows 11, however, a group of developers has already managed to adapt this operating system to be used in a Mi 8, and even run games like Minecraft.
Some mobiles are capable of running Windows 11, and they are not new
Notably It is not a simple process and not all mobiles are compatible with this operating system, as it requires some power to work.
Both the Lumia 950 XL and the Mi 8 were the first models to test it. Both have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 inside, and although the performance is not the best, it is a sufficient processor to run the operating system correctly.
Of course, since it is not an operating system designed for these devices, there are some drivers not working. The Bluetooth one, for example, conflicts with the band and doesn’t quite work properly.
Processor GPU doesn’t perform well either, since we remember that the chips of the mobile phones are manufactured in ARM architecture, that is, in a single chip is the motherboard, the GPU and other elements.
Nevertheless, most computers are built on X64 architecture, which makes it very difficult to get good graphics performance. Still, by making use of the processor’s integrated graphics, these developers have been able to run Minecraft.
Despite the various problems, the developers say that these errors will be corrected in the coming weeks. They also explain that The Xiaomi Mi 8 is not the only device compatible with Windows 11, but the list is quite extensive:
