In the framework of the commemoration of the 82 years of the publication of Marvel Comics # 1 by the Timely publishing house (which included stories of characters such as the original Human Torch and Namor), on Monday, August 30, the New comic book titles that will shape the future of the Marvel Universe.
Through a post in his official blog, the company revealed the titles of eight stories to be published throughout the winter, between December 2021 and February 2022.
In this new installment of stories, various characters and settings from the Marvel universe and multiverse will be present, several of which are related to recent audiovisual content and those that are currently being broadcast, such as the new animated series What if…?
The following is the order in which the upcoming Marvel Comics releases will appear:
The first comic to be published is Devil’s reign, with a story that will follow the events that are anticipated in the Spider-Man / Venom Free Comic Book Day. Here, all hell breaks loose when The Kingpin declares all-out war on the heroes, as he pits Daredevil, Elektra, Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, and many more against his Thunderbolt agents. In the end, who will reign?
The next installment will be a new series called Avengers forever, written by Jason Aaron and with art by Aaron Kuder, which will transform the Avengers into heroes of the multiverse.
December closes with Timeless, the story where a new threatening timeline emerges, so Kang the Conqueror must protect the main 616 timeline that he has worked on for centuries. This is the beginning of what will come to the Marvel Universe in 2022, in a story that will show that the future is timeless.
Then 2021 opens with a couple of Benjamin Percy stories, called X Lives of Wolverine and X Deaths of Wolverine, which will arrive in January and present what happens when the Logan of the present meets a version of the future.
Also in January it will be released She-hulk, where we will see Jennifer Walters as she tries to put her rage-filled days behind her and return to practice law in defense of the innocent. But when a friend from his past comes to the door with a mystery he can’t resist, She-Hulk must reappear.
And the third premiere of the first month of the year will be Fantastic Four: The Reckoning War, a comic written by Dan Slott and featuring art by Carlos Pacheco and Rachael Stott. According to the company, it will be an epic saga that has been in the making for the last 15 years.
According to the Marvel synopsis, in this story “the original secret war of the Marvel Universe has been restarted and every living being in reality is in danger, as we are all in our day of doomsday.”
Finally, this series of premieres closes in February with Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur, where Lunella Lafayette and her lovable 20-foot dinosaur are back to give new meaning to the term “Marvel Team-Up” in a story that promises to shake the world.
