Through a contest Visitmexico put the most “instagrammable” site in the nation to compete. We all like to have a unique photo that surprises everyone and they want to know where it is to meet it and achieve that beauty captured by our eyes in their own photo and experience.
Between April 1 and June 30, #InstaMexico invited travelers to share via instagram, their best photo of Mexico by tagging @VisitMexico and using the hashtag #InstaMexico to win a year of free travel in Mexico.
This call attracted a record of more than 480 thousand photographs that exposed the incredible sites and experiences that exist in Mexico.
The winner selected by a VisitMexico jury chose Amneris Ariadna Leal Alcántara (@amneriis_leal), originally from the state of Querétaro, was the winner with an image of the Samalayuca Desert, located 50 kilometers south of Ciudad Juárez in the state of Chihuahua.
“I love the Samalayuca Dunes, it is the most beautiful desert in the whole country. I was surprised by the size of the dunes, the immensity, it is a place where you can get lost taking incredible photos and videos and also where you feel an incredible peace. I think it is a place that everyone has to know because it is an impressive paradise and they will never imagine that such a style of landscapes can be found in Mexico, “said the winner.
